Wescan Goldfields Sends 305 Munro Lake Core Samples to AGAT, Drill Rig Moving to Site — 67.1 g/t Au Hole in the Queue

Drill hole EXML-002 at Wescan Goldfields' Munro Lake Project in Saskatchewan returned 67.1 g/t gold over 1.00 metre in the original 2013 drill program. Wescan has now gone back to the stored core, relogged both holes from that program, and shipped 305 samples to AGAT Laboratories — results pending.

The resampling work ran from July 22, 2026 to August 11, 2026, with core pulled from storage at the Company's Jasper Mine site, per Wescan's August 14, 2026 news release on Newswire. The second hole from the 2013 program, EXML-001, returned 7.1 g/t gold over 1.02 metres. Both holes showed multiple intervals of quartz veining and sulphide and diopside-bearing calc-silicate alteration — an assemblage the company's August 14, 2026 news release describes as associated with gold mineralization at SSR Mining's nearby Seabee and Santoy mines.

Munro Lake sits approximately 7 kilometres northeast of SSR Mining's Seabee mine and mill complex, the only producing gold operation in Saskatchewan, per the July 8, 2026 project profile sourced from rohstoff-welt.de. The alteration signatures Wescan identified in the resampled core — quartz veining and sulphide and diopside-bearing calc-silicate alteration — are the same assemblage the company's August 14, 2026 news release links to the Seabee and Santoy systems.

While AGAT processes the 305-sample batch, the drill program is already in motion. Wescan received its Phase 1 drill permit on July 8, 2026, covering up to 2,000 metres of helicopter-supported diamond drilling at Munro Lake. By August 27, 2026, the Company's August 27 news release confirmed mobilization of its fly camp to the property was underway, with the drill rig and crew expected to follow within days. That announcement is the most recent public disclosure as of Monday, September 14, 2026.

Wescan (TSXV: WGF) holds 100% interests in three Saskatchewan gold projects in the La Ronge Gold Belt: Munro Lake, the Jojay Lake Project, and the Fork Lake Project, which hosts the past-producing Jasper gold mine. The Jojay deposit carries a 2010 NI 43-101 resource of 420,000 tonnes grading 3.7 g/t gold (Indicated) and 630,000 tonnes grading 4.3 g/t gold (Inferred), both at a 2.0 g/t cut-off, per the July 8, 2026 profile sourced from rohstoff-welt.de.

On the market side, WGF last traded at C$0.25 on the TSXV, against a 52-week range of C$0.03 to C$0.28, per Gurufocus data. The Company had 65.7 million shares outstanding as of June 3, 2026, per PitchBook. No financing has been announced in connection with the resampling program; cash position is not disclosed in available filings.

Gold futures ended near US$4,348 an ounce on Monday, September 14, 2026, after opening at $4,375 — down 0.8% from Friday's close — per September 14 commodities data. The TSX Venture Composite was quoted at 1,004.09 on the same session.

The immediate sequence: AGAT assay results from 305 Munro Lake core samples, followed by drill results from up to 2,000 metres of Phase 1 diamond drilling already mobilizing to the project. No cash position or financing details are available in current filings to assess the runway behind either program.
