XXIX Metal Cleared to Drill Ontario's Biggest Primary Copper Resource

Some assets don't need discovering — they need reawakening.

XXIX Metal received a permit to drill its Thierry project, clearing the way for the first large-scale program there in more than 40 years at what the company describes as Ontario's largest primary copper resource. A known, sizeable copper system that has sat largely untouched for four decades is exactly the kind of setup that gets a rerating when the drills finally turn — especially with copper near record prices and Western supply chains hunting for domestic metal.

The upside is leverage to scale. A big historic resource, modern drilling, and a copper market starved for new pounds is a potent combination. Permitting is often the hardest gate on the Venture; clearing it removes a real overhang and puts the story back in the market's hands.

The bear case: a permit is a starting gun, not an economic study. Historic resources need modern validation, large tonnage at modest grade needs high prices and big capital to matter, and results can disappoint. This is a re-rating bet, not a sure thing.

What we're watching: the first holes of that large-scale program and how the historic numbers hold up to modern rigs.

This is market commentary, not investment advice — small-cap resource stocks are highly speculative and you can lose your entire investment.
